What a fun Kids Activity Day we had last week. A well known local author, Conrad Storad, came to read two of his books and sign some of his books. It was a beautiful day out and we enjoyed listening to him read his new book "Rattlesnake Rules". We then had a fun question/answer session with his snake puppet. Afterward he read "Don't Call Me Pig" his most well known book. After the story time he signed books for the kids and showed us many more of the books he has written.

About Our Club
Welcome:
Thanks for your interest in MOMS (MOMS Offering Moms Support) Club! Our chapter is very open to new members. In fact, you probably won’t be the only new person. We are growing month to month. Although some of us have lived here for years, some of us are new to the area or new to MOMS Club. We all have one thing in common- MOMS Club introduced us to other moms like us...moms who became our friends!About our Chapter:
We are a non-profit support group for stay-at-home moms or moms that work part time. Some of our activities include a monthly recipe exchange, park days, smaller playgroups, monthly “field trips/activities” for the kids, and a Moms Night Out (our only non-kid event). We are also involved in community projects to benefit Chandler families and children. (i.e. donations, fundraisers, volunteer work)
Meetings:
All of our meetings and almost all activities are during the day, when at-home mothers need the support. Activities take place at public venues (such as a local park, restaurant, or stores) and others are hosted by members in their homes (such as recipe exchanges and play dates).
Bring your child(ren):
Our only non-child event is our monthly MNO (Moms Night Out). Otherwise, children are expected and encouraged to come! You don’t have to bring your child(ren) to attend an event, but if you do please remember that you are responsible for their safety and behavior. Sometimes, a member volunteer may watch the children (such as at the Monthly Business Meeting), but most of the time we are all together, mothers and children.
Dues:
As part of the International MOMS Club, we do have a membership fee of $25.00. This fee is due each year the same month as the month you join the club. You may attend two public events before deciding to become a member. We understand that being an at-home mom may mean a tight budget for your family. If the dues would be a hardship, please talk to one of your board members.

Singleton Moms Trike-a-Thon
Last weekend we held a trike-a-thon to raise money for Singleton Moms. Singleton Moms is a charity in the area that we have paired up with for the year. The kids raised money the weeks prior and then raised even more money at the event. They rode their bikes, trikes, and scooters around the park and after each lap put a quarter in the jar for the charity. The kids had a blast adding more and more money. We also had a fun time with the two Chandler Bike Cops that came to speak to the kids and ride with them. They learned about bike safety and got certificates signed by them. After the fun and games we enjoyed a pizza dinner with our friends and families. We were very excited when we learned that we raised $600.00 and are glad we could help out a fellow mom in need.

Tour of NYPD (New York Pizza Department)
We had a great tour of the Chandler NYPD restaurant. They opened early for us to come and and see how their pizza was made. We also got to see how they set things up for the lunch crowd and where the food is stored. The kids got to touch the dough and see it start out as a ball and be stretched into a large pizza. We all got to enjoy some pizza and had fun hanging out at the restaurant.

Cup Cake Day
We had a huge turn out for Cup Cake Day at the park. It was a beautiful afternoon and we all had fun decorating cupcakes with frosting and sprinkles. Even some of the dads got to join in the fun as they had the day off. When the kids weren't eating tons of frosting they had fun running off the sugar around the park.

February Business Meeting
We got a lot of stuff covered at the business meeting and received the fun filled March calendar of activities. The kids had fun in the nursery making Valentine's Day bags and passing out their valentines. Hope to see more members next month at the meeting for more fun.

January MNO and Service Project
We had a fun time on Thursday night preparing meals for a family in need. We made 12 meals at "The Dinner A' Fare" . The owners were so nice and stayed open late just for us, gave us a discount on the meals, and had yummy appetizers for us to enjoy. We had fun putting the items together and catching up. Be sure to check out www.dinnerafare.com to make some yummy meals of your own if you want.
New Member Coffee!
We had a HUGE turnout for our New Member Coffee gathering. We are very excited about the new members that joined this year. The kids had fun playing in the backyard while the moms had fun catching up and playing a get to know you game. Everyone enjoyed the yummy treats that were brought and had fun seeing one another.

Recipe Exchange
We had a very fun recipe exchange at the park. Everyone brought lunch items so we all enjoyed a picnic lunch together. The kids had a fun time on the swings, slides, and running around. It was a beautiful day outside and fun seeing our friends.
