About Our Club

Welcome:

Thanks for your interest in MOMS (MOMS Offering Moms Support) Club! Our chapter is very open to new members. In fact, you probably won’t be the only new person. We are growing month to month. Although some of us have lived here for years, some of us are new to the area or new to MOMS Club. We all have one thing in common- MOMS Club introduced us to other moms like us...moms who became our friends!

About our Chapter:
We are a non-profit support group for stay-at-home moms or moms that work part time. Some of our activities include a monthly recipe exchange, park days, smaller playgroups, monthly “field trips/activities” for the kids, and a Moms Night Out (our only non-kid event). We are also involved in community projects to benefit Chandler families and children. (i.e. donations, fundraisers, volunteer work)

Meetings:
All of our meetings and almost all activities are during the day, when at-home mothers need the support. Activities take place at public venues (such as a local park, restaurant, or stores) and others are hosted by members in their homes (such as recipe exchanges and play dates).

Bring your child(ren):
Our only non-child event is our monthly MNO (Moms Night Out). Otherwise, children are expected and encouraged to come! You don’t have to bring your child(ren) to attend an event, but if you do please remember that you are responsible for their safety and behavior. Sometimes, a member volunteer may watch the children (such as at the Monthly Business Meeting), but most of the time we are all together, mothers and children.

Dues:
As part of the International MOMS Club, we do have a membership fee of $25.00. This fee is due each year the same month as the month you join the club. You may attend two public events before deciding to become a member. We understand that being an at-home mom may mean a tight budget for your family. If the dues would be a hardship, please talk to one of your board members.

January's Moms Night Out

What a great night filled with good friends and good food. 10 of us enjoyed happy hour at Cantina Laredo. We laughed for many hours while catching up and enjoying the yummy drinks, appetizers, and desserts.

The little ones had a blast at MNTL the other day. We went to the toddler zone at Mc Donald's which was great as all the moms that came had kids three years old and under. Here are some pictures of the fun!

December Business Meeting

This meeting we were very busy wrapping all the gifts for our Singleton Mom Family. This year we are helping out Jennifer who is a mother of three and is battling breast cancer for the second time. We used donations and some funds to get them some fun gifts items needed. After that we went over all the fun activities coming up and plans for 2011 with our wonderful club. The kids had fun in the playroom next to us and enjoyed holiday cookies for their snack.

Annual Cookie Exchange

What a fun time we had at the holiday cookie exchange. Each mom brought around 3 dozen cookies/treats to exchange. We even had fun categories to vote for favorites. While the kids had fun playing we had fun catching up and sampling all the yummy treats.

Costume Parade at Nursing Home

This was our 4th year going to Horizon Bay Nursing Home around Halloween. The kids all got dressed up in their costumes and paraded around the living area. A bunch of the residence came down to see them and everyone had a great time. The hit with the kids is always the birds and stuffed animal dogs. :) At the end of our visit they got one piece of candy. It is always a fall favorite and we can't wait to do it again next year.

Tour of Peter Piper Pizza

What a fun kids activity day we had at P.P.P. They opened early for our group for the kids to get a tour of the kitchen, make their own pizza, and play the games. It was such a fun time to see behind the scenes. Each child got to add their own pizza toppings and cheese. While the pizzas were in the oven they all got tokens to play a few games before eating their yummy creation.

October Otter Pop Day

What a fun time we all had before the big monsoon arrived. We had a great turn out for Otter Pop day. Everyone had fun enjoying the water and catching up with friends.

For our Wild Card activity this month we had a play date themed around trains and princesses. All the kids had fun playing and dressing up in many cute and interesting outfits. Bet you didn't know that we had a Police Princess in our group. :)

September MNO...well Away!

This year for our Moms Night Away we went to another local resort. 5 of us stayed the night and 6 of us enjoyed dinner on the resort property. We had a very relaxing 24 hours of food, fun, and floating around.
