About Our Club

Welcome:
Thanks for your interest in MOMS (MOMS Offering Moms Support) Club! Our chapter is very open to new members. In fact, you probably won’t be the only new person. We are growing month to month. Although some of us have lived here for years, some of us are new to the area or new to MOMS Club. We all have one thing in common- MOMS Club introduced us to other moms like us...moms who became our friends!

About our Chapter:
We are a non-profit support group for stay-at-home moms or moms that work part time. Some of our activities include a monthly recipe exchange, park days, smaller playgroups, monthly “field trips/activities” for the kids, and a Moms Night Out (our only non-kid event). We are also involved in community projects to benefit Chandler families and children. (i.e. donations, fundraisers, volunteer work)

Meetings:
All of our meetings and almost all activities are during the day, when at-home mothers need the support. Activities take place at public venues (such as a local park, restaurant, or stores) and others are hosted by members in their homes (such as recipe exchanges and play dates).

Bring your child(ren):
Our only non-child event is our monthly MNO (Moms Night Out). Otherwise, children are expected and encouraged to come! You don’t have to bring your child(ren) to attend an event, but if you do please remember that you are responsible for their safety and behavior. Sometimes, a member volunteer may watch the children (such as at the Monthly Business Meeting), but most of the time we are all together, mothers and children.

Dues:
As part of the International MOMS Club, we do have a membership fee of $25.00. This fee is due each year the same month as the month you join the club. You may attend two public events before deciding to become a member. We understand that being an at-home mom may mean a tight budget for your family. If the dues would be a hardship, please talk to one of your board members.

June Recipe Exchange

This months recipe exchange took place at a members house and was poolside fun food themed.  We had hot dogs, key lime pie, chips, and fruit just to name some things people brought.  The kids had a blast in the pool and on the water slide.  The kids had fun watching the moms go down too!  It was such a fun lunch time gathering with friends!

Breakfast Club

This month we had a fun morning at the Hangar Cafe at the little airport near us all. It was great how we got to sit on the patio and the kids could run around the gated area. We saw lots of planes taking off and landing. Breakfast was yummy as always and the little boys had a blast while we moms had fun talking.

May Business Meeting

During our get together the little ones had a fun time playing in one room with a few moms, while the meeting took place next door. At the meeting we got our fun June activity calendars and went over new and old business. The second half of the meeting we put together 82 boxes of cookies for the Banner Hospital NICU. Each year around Mother's Day we take tons of boxes over to give to the families that are there. Below is a note that one of the mother's sent to us:

Dear MOMS Club,

I went to visit my baby in the Banner Desert NICU today and found some sweeties from your group. Thank you so much! I enjoy sharing the box of cookies. This was my first Mother's Day. My oldest baby was released late Sunday night after 83 days there. The timing was perfect! Her twin still has some growing issues but should be home soon. I was really tired today and needed a pick-me-up. Enjoying your holiday greeting along with a sweetie as my sister and I held babies was wonderful. I cannot tell you what it means to be remembered by moms who don't even know me, but know what it's like to be where I am. I was really tickled! You moms gave me a lift when I really needed it.

Thank you!

Trike-a-Thon for Ryan House

Last month we held our annual Trike-a-Thon! This year we raised over $600.00 for Ryan House. "The mission of Ryan House is to provide essential care in a home-like setting where children with life-threatening conditions and their families may come for respite and, as needed, end of life care." We also gave a basket full of items off their "Wish List." For more information on Ryan House or to donate money or items please go to http://ryanhouse.org

At the Trike-a-Thon the kids in our club had fun riding their bikes, trikes, and scooters around a track and depositing quarters into a bin after each lap. The Gilbert Fire Department even came out with the truck for the kids to see. They also told them about bike safety and about how important it is to wear helmets. We had a great turn out of MCCE families and enjoyed a pizza dinner with our friends and families. Looking forward to another successful Trike-a-Thon next year!

Fun with Friends

We had a fun get together a few weeks ago when our friends (who were members before they moved out of state) were back visiting for spring break. The kids all had a great time together playing and the moms had fun catching up with a mom we miss often!
