About Our Club

Welcome:

Thanks for your interest in MOMS (MOMS Offering Moms Support) Club! Our chapter is very open to new members. In fact, you probably won’t be the only new person. We are growing month to month. Although some of us have lived here for years, some of us are new to the area or new to MOMS Club. We all have one thing in common- MOMS Club introduced us to other moms like us...moms who became our friends!

About our Chapter:
We are a non-profit support group for stay-at-home moms or moms that work part time. Some of our activities include a monthly recipe exchange, park days, smaller playgroups, monthly “field trips/activities” for the kids, and a Moms Night Out (our only non-kid event). We are also involved in community projects to benefit Chandler families and children. (i.e. donations, fundraisers, volunteer work)

Meetings:
All of our meetings and almost all activities are during the day, when at-home mothers need the support. Activities take place at public venues (such as a local park, restaurant, or stores) and others are hosted by members in their homes (such as recipe exchanges and play dates).

Bring your child(ren):
Our only non-child event is our monthly MNO (Moms Night Out). Otherwise, children are expected and encouraged to come! You don’t have to bring your child(ren) to attend an event, but if you do please remember that you are responsible for their safety and behavior. Sometimes, a member volunteer may watch the children (such as at the Monthly Business Meeting), but most of the time we are all together, mothers and children.

Dues:
As part of the International MOMS Club, we do have a membership fee of $25.00. This fee is due each year the same month as the month you join the club. You may attend two public events before deciding to become a member. We understand that being an at-home mom may mean a tight budget for your family. If the dues would be a hardship, please talk to one of your board members.

October Otter Pop Day

What a fun time we all had before the big monsoon arrived. We had a great turn out for Otter Pop day. Everyone had fun enjoying the water and catching up with friends.

For our Wild Card activity this month we had a play date themed around trains and princesses. All the kids had fun playing and dressing up in many cute and interesting outfits. Bet you didn't know that we had a Police Princess in our group. :)

This year for our Moms Night Away we went to another local resort. 5 of us stayed the night and 6 of us enjoyed dinner on the resort property. We had a very relaxing 24 hours of food, fun, and floating around.

August MNO

This month we had a pool party for our MNO. It was nice to relax in the water and not worry about kids for once. Everyone brought an appetizer or dessert to share. It was such a nice night with friends!

We had a fun morning at Chick-fil-A and even got a new member...Betsy the Cow! :) The kids had fun playing and dancing with the cow while we moms caught up and enjoyed some yummy food and drinks.

August Kid's Activty Day

What a fun activity day we had with the kids. We got a fantastic private tour of Whole Foods Market and enjoyed sampling some of their delicious food.

Sea Life Aquarium

What a fun morning we had at the new Sea Life Aquarium at Arizona Mills Mall. Our group got to go in early to experience the underwater world. The biggest hit were the bubbles that the kids could crawl into and stand up in. Then they'd be "inside" an aquarium and see the fish and sea life up close. Most of us enjoyed lunch together afterwards in the food court and had fun on the carousel.

July Recipe Exchange

This months theme was Red, White, and/or Blue food. There were so many yummy treats to enjoy. The kids had a great time playing together while the moms cooed over our newest precious little member.

Installation Dinner

Congrats to the new board and thank you to the old board for such a fantastic year. Our dinner together was lots of fun with fun food and friends. We had a great slide show of the many gatherings we have had over the last year (July 2009-June 2010). Our new board was sworn in and gifts were given to the old board and activity coordinators. Looking forward to a fun new year of great memories with our kids.

June Business Meeting

What a fun business meeting we had. We had a great turn out with it being election time for the new board and a pot-luck. The kids had a blast in the playroom while the moms voted after their meeting. We then all got together for the pot-luck.

Congrats to the new board...you are going to do a great job.
